Past Vranov the trail skirts the Austrian border and soon thereafter reaches the village of Safov, with a quaint old Jewish cemetery on the outskirts of the village, its grave stones overlooking a large fish pond and sprawling panorama of gently rolling countryside. The trail continues through village of Podhradí nad Dyjí where stands Lobo Kristek’s monument of Space Timed Parapyramidal Potency, so called Kristek’s Dyje Valley Glyptotheca. A well-known avant-garde surrealist artist, once a personal friend of Salvador Dali, is settled here and his house with a piano mounted atop his rooftop is right across the road, overlooking the peacefully flowing Dyje river. The trail follows the romantic valley into village of Uhercice, dominated by a large Renaissance chateau undergoing a massive reconstruction, and soon after leaves Moravia and enters Jizni Cechy, Southern Bohemia, leading on through peaceful villages, past wayside monuments, Calvary shrines and chapels.
